The fabric is specified for bag constructions requiring water-shedding properties without internal liners. Used in outdoor gear, promotional bag manufacturing, and industrial packaging where abrasion resistance and seam strength are required.

Waterproofing
PVC coating provides continuous barrier. Sealed seams required for full water tightness. Surface water beads and rolls off.
Tensile strength
500D base yarn with 18x16 construction delivers warp tensile ≥ 800 N/5cm, weft tensile ≥ 750 N/5cm per ASTM D5034.
Tear propagation
Trapezoid tear strength: warp ≥ 90 N, weft ≥ 85 N. PVC coating limits yarn slippage at cut edges.
Flexibility
Remains pliable at 0°C to 40°C. Cold crack temperature tested at -15°C without surface fracture.

What is the difference between 400G and 500G options?
400GSM fabric offers more flexibility for foldable bag designs such as grocery totes and light backpacks. 500GSM provides increased puncture resistance for heavy-duty bags, equipment covers, and industrial applications. Both options maintain the same 500D base yarn construction; weight difference comes from PVC coating thickness.
Can this fabric be printed with logos?
Yes. The PVC coated surface accepts screen printing using PVC-based inks. Digital printing is possible with pretreatment. For long-term outdoor exposure, recommend screen printing with UV-stable inks. Test adhesion before full production runs.
How to clean finished bags made from this fabric?
Wipe with damp cloth using mild soap. For deeper cleaning, use soft brush and water diluted with non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid acetone, toluene, or chlorinated solvents which soften PVC coating. Air dry away from direct high heat sources.
What seam construction is recommended for waterproof bags?
For water-resistant seams: double-stitched with folded edge. For waterproof seams: high-frequency welded construction or heat-sealed tape over stitched seams. The fabric itself is waterproof; seam method determines final water entry point.
Roll dimensions and packaging
Standard roll width: 1.5m to 2.0m (custom widths available 1.0-3.2m). Roll length: typically 50-100 meters depending on weight. Rolls wrapped with PE film and placed on pallets for container loading. 20GP container holds approximately 20,000-25,000 linear meters at 1.5m width.

Production facility operates with ISO 9001:2015 quality management. Material testing available upon request: tensile, tear, adhesion, hydrostatic resistance, flammability (ASTM D6413), and UV exposure (ASTM G154). Samples provided within 3-5 working days for quality approval.
