PVC Mesh Fabric

PVC Mesh Fabric is a type of woven mesh fabric with a strong, flexible, and durable vinyl coating. The PVC layer protects the underlying polyester base fabric grid from dirt, moisture, and other harmful external conditions. This makes it an ideal material for many applications such as tarps, banners, and truck covers. PVC fabrics also offer a high resistance to UV rays, chemical corrosion, and general abrasion.

Moreover, these PVC fabrics are often coated with dirt-repellent surface lacquers and UV stabilizers to provide additional protection. It is possible to add other coatings such as abrasion-resistant or fire-retardant ones to make them more suitable for specific applications.

Woven PVC fabric with a mesh structure is used in numerous products including tents, bags, and sports clothing. It is also a popular choice for making netting fabrics, particularly for swimming pool fences and safety nets.

These woven PVC fabrics can be made in a wide variety of widths, weights, and mesh counts. They are often manufactured using either a single-layer extruded PVC coating or multiple-layer, bonded/welded PVC construction. The strength and dimensional stability of the fabric are determined by the original thickness or denier of the woven polyester base fabric and how densely it is woven together (in layman's terms, how thick or how many yarns per inch). To achieve the desired tensile properties it is common for the base fabrics to be pre-stressed and dimensioned.

A range of different types of PVC mesh fabrics can be produced with varying levels of translucency and tensile strength. Architectural PVC meshes are popular for use in building tensile membranes as they limit solar heat gain while maintaining transparency and allowing for an interesting architectural aesthetic.

These woven PVC mesh fabrics are also commonly known as teslin. They are created from polyester yarns that are individually dipped into a PVC coating, woven, and then heat set to form these durable, long-lasting textilene mesh fabrics. The breathable nature of these fabrics means they can be used for sunscreens, umbrellas, cushions, and ground mats as well as fencing.
