PVC Architectural Roof Membrane
PVC architectural roof membrane is a single-ply roofing material composed of polyvinyl chloride resin combined with plasticizers, stabilizers, and UV inhibitors. This formulation produces a flexible sheet with controlled thickness (1.2 mm to 2.0 mm) and width (up to 2.05 m). The membrane is manufactured via calendering or extrusion processes, resulting in a homogeneous structure with welded seams that form a continuous waterproofing layer. The material exhibits tensile strength ranging from 10 MPa to 15 MPa and elongation at break between 200% and 300%, accommodating structural movement and thermal expansion. Surface treatments include anti-aging coatings and embossed finishes to reduce glare and improve slip resistance.
Core Advantages
Chemical and Weather Resistance
Resists acids, alkalis, and industrial pollutants. UV stabilizers prevent degradation from prolonged sun exposure.
Thermal and Energy Performance
Reflective surface with SRI greater than 80 reduces cooling loads. Low thermal conductivity minimizes heat transfer.
Seam Integrity
Hot-air welded seams achieve bond strength exceeding base material tensile capacity, ensuring watertight joints.
Installation Flexibility
Applicable from -15 C to +50 C. Reinforced options (polyester/fiberglass) provide dimensional stability.
